It was cold and raining in many parts of the day but Gabriel and Laura wouldn’t let that get them down. They are so level headed and down to earth. They knew rain was a big issue but totally did not make a big stink about it. However, I knew they wanted outdoor images really bad. So we pushed to make that happen.

It had already rained a bit but there was a window of time before the rain started up again so we planned to go outside for our First look. You can’t tell from the pictures but we are in a residential area and there are about 10 cars parked next to and behind us. Being Harry Potter fans themselves, it was only appropriate that we work in the classic story book.

Afterwards, we took the wedding party to Centennial park in Munster, Indiana. There are quite a few photo opp spots to choose from but on a rainy day, the best one is the STAGE!!! It was just enough shelter to save the day. We only had a few minutes to work with so we had to hurry. I was impressed that even though it was raining the entire wedding party (which included quite a few children) HELD their POSE.

I couldn’t help but laugh as we all ran in the rain towards the stage.

The rain let up and we tried once more to nab a few shots. The wind was so strong that we could barely make anything happen but HEY we still tried and I think we did just fine considering the situation.

Latin American Weddings take me back to my childhood. I LOVE the mix of music, food, and I absolutely LA LA LA LOVE when I get to hear old school spanish hits from my childhood past. So yeah…. You bet i had a blast on the dance floor too.

All in all, it was a wonderful day. I have to give Laura hella Props because she works full time and didn’t have a wedding planner. She managed everything and everyone without ever loosing her cool. Which is amazing!!!! Especially considering she also had family flying in from other countries to visit for the week.

C’mon now… that alone deserves a pat on the back, right?

WHEEEW!!! You Go GIRL!!!!

Congratulations Laura and Gabriel.

Enjoy a few of my favorite images from their day.
